26 May 1975, Wembley Stadium, London. Thirteen buses on the pitch and ninety thousand people who had queued up to watch an American in white leathers try something no sensible person would attempt. He cleared the buses. The landing broke his pelvis. He got up anyway and walked to the microphone.
