THE SHIRT THEY SOLD AT THE CANYON
On 8 September 1974, people drove to Twin Falls, Idaho, parked along the rim of the Snake River Canyon, and bought a shirt.
This is the art that was on it.
Not a tribute drawn up decades later. This is the design that was sold to spectators at the canyon on the day of the jump, reissued from our archive.
THE DESIGN
The back carries the whole idea: the Snake River drawn as an actual snake — coiled, jaws open, green shading into yellow — with the Skycycle X-2 streaking straight out of its mouth. EVEL KNIEVEL stamped across its body in heavy black capitals, his signature at the lower right.
The front keeps quiet about it. Just the signature, small, on the left chest.
What happened after that shirt was sold — the parachute that opened early, the wind, the harness he couldn't release — is on our Snake River Canyon page.

THE REAL THING
This artwork has been in the K and K Promotions archive since 1974, along with every Evel Knievel® trademark, photograph and frame of jump footage. It is not a fan recreation and it is not traced from a photograph of an old shirt — it is the design, from the people who own it.
