THE POSTER

This is the 1974 "Courage" poster, reproduced. Not a new design in an old style — the actual thing, from the year of the canyon, brought back on heavy paper.

If it was on your bedroom wall between the light switch and the closet door, you already know exactly what this looks like.

THE DAY

8 September 1974: the Skycycle X-2, a steam rocket built by Robert Truax, on a ramp cut into the south rim of the Snake River Canyon about a mile west of Shoshone Falls. The parachute came out on the way up, the wind carried him back into the canyon, and he landed on the bottom near the water and walked away.

THE GOODS

  • Premium heavyweight paper, matte finish
  • Paper thickness 10.3 mil
  • 20″ × 30″
  • Ships rolled in a tube — frame not included
