THE MEMORY
Before he was on television he was on decals. The oval badge went on the tank, the toolbox, the back of the van and the front of the school binder — and by 1975 it had been rained on, scraped and sun-faded into something better than new. This is that badge, at that age, on something warm.
THE DESIGN
The full oval: navy over red inside a white border, EVEL in block capitals across the middle, and Evel himself coming through the front of it on the back wheel with a flame over his shoulder. Printed with the cracks and the fade already in it.
