THE DAY

New Year's Eve, 1967. Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. A hundred and forty-one feet of fountains, a Triumph, and a man in a jumpsuit who had talked his way onto the property by phoning the casino boss pretending to be a reporter asking about the jump.

He came up short and the crash became the most replayed footage in American sport. Twenty-nine days in the hospital. He came out the most famous daredevil in the country.

THE PRINT

Giclee printing on heavy stock, made in the United States. This is a vintage reproduction — grain, soft edges and the small imperfections of the original are part of it, not faults in the printing.

The photo print looks great framed in my home—I'm really happy with how it fits into my space. I ordered the smallest size available, and while the image quality is decent, it's not perfect. You can notice some slight softness in the details, so I imagine that if you ordered a larger size, you might run into issues with blurring. That said, the order shipped immediately and arrived very quickly, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a good experience, just be mindful of the print size if you're looking for something larger.

Ordered and received in a timely manner, however the quality of the print is terrible and I would not recommend buying it. For reference, ordered size 24x36 which was an option

Thank you for the honest feedback, and for noting the size, because that told us exactly what went wrong. This is a scan of an original photo from the day of the Caesars Palace jump in 1967, and 24×36 pushed it past what a nearly 60-year-old image can deliver. We've removed that size. The smaller prints keep the photo sharp and true to the moment. If you'd like us to make this right, reach out at info@evelknievel.com.

Picture quality good considering the date of the original picture
